2021 Season Structure
American Music Stars consists of two rounds:

Round 1: THE AUDITION. Participants must submit a video recorded audition along with their application. After the registration deadline, a panel of judges evaluates the auditions and releases their finalists who are then invited to perform at the Finalists Concert in the Count Basie Center For The Arts on June 6th. The Round 1 Fee is $100. Please see details below.

Round 2: THE FINALISTS CONCERT. The finalists that are chosen to perform at the Count Basie Center For The Arts will do so on the main theater stage with a professional Videography Team capturing their performance. A live panel of judges will preside over the performers and deliberate on the Winners. At the conclusion of all of the performances, the Adjudicating panel will privately record their announcement of Winners, which will be presented at the end of the Concert Broadcast, streamed from the production studio on Friday, June 11th on our YouTube TV channel available to all subscribers to watch. Winners receive cash prizes and professional recording opportunities. Winners will be chosen within each age category. The Round 2 Fee is $150. Please see details below.
Round 1:
Application and Audition
Fee: $100
This fee is for all applicants. This includes professional judges evaluation sheet with commentary and an official AMS performance certificate.
Round 2:
Finalists Concert Series
Fee: $150
This fee is for finalists only. This includes the professional live performance taping at the Count Basie Center For The Arts and a Finalists Prize Box (digital copy of performance, medals/trophies, certificates, prizes/awards, sponsor gifts,
and more).
American Music Stars is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to provide vocalists opportunities to perform in professionally produced concert events, receive exposure to large audiences and music industry professionals, access professionally recording studio time. The goal of American Music Stars is not only to show each performer that they have the ability and potential to share the concert stage with some of their most technically advanced peers, but also that they are capable of attaining the incredible satisfaction that comes from performance on the concert stage. AMS recognizes students with various backgrounds and musical ability. Vocalists, both solo and groups, will have the opportunity to perform for some of the most established artists, faculty, and producers in the country.
