*Performers will be evaluated within only their own age category.
Judging Criteria
​
The adjudicating panel will use the following guidelines when reviewing audition submissions and choosing finalists for the Concert Series at the Count Basie Theater. Finalists will again be evaluated using this criteria in their deliberations regarding Prize Winners. Finalists will receive an evaluation sheet where judges will offer commentary, constructive criticism, and/or suggestions.

Vocal Control, Tone Quality, Breath Support, Intonation/Pitch, Enunciation/Clarity, Timing/Pacing

Stage Presence:
Musical Phrasing, Expressiveness, Versatility
​
Style:
Music Selection, Effective/Appropriate use of Stage and Performance Area, Marketability, Personal Style
